Welcome to the official Website of the Methodist Church Ghana North America
TO YOU DEAR VISITOR OR MEMBER WE SAY:
AKWAABA TO THE WEBSITE of GHANA METHODISM WHERE YOU ARE IN FOR A VIEW OF GHANA METHODISM.
Ours is a heritage birthed, by God’s grace, in a yearning for and love for God. Before Missionary Joseph Dunwell set foot in the then Gold Coast, William DeGraft and his friends had prayed, studied God’s Word and evangelized and indeed it was their cry for help that brought him and the others to the then ‘dark Continent’. Rev. Joseph Dunwell and the several ‘martyrs’ handed down a heritage we have all striven over the years to uphold with the help of the Holy Spirit.
It was and is one, which stressed and stresses on the Priesthood of all Believers [1 Peter 2:9]; and laid emphasis on 'spirituality, prevailing prayer, Scriptural holiness, uncompromising moral ethic, upholding the Bible as the authoritative word of God, community-based church planting strategies, faithfulness in tithes and offerings, genuine concern for the welfare of members in need and above all worship that is inspired by the Holy Spirit.'
This is why the Prayer of every Ghana Methodist is:
Help me to watch and pray, and on thyself rely,
Assured, if I my trust betray, I shall forever die.
AKWAABA once again and please “surf” prayerfully.

As we post this our Church Conference has just ended in Cape Coast. This year The Methodist Church Ghana is 175 years and
by design of God our Church went back to her roots to confer.
It was our prayer and we believe that the Holy Spirit Himself with Whom the Church was begun led affairs ensuring successful deliberations. Our special Word OF CONGRATULATIONS to Bro. J.E.K. PRATT, Lay President-elect. The Laity in this Mission pray that your tenure brings progress to our great Church.
Here in the North America Mission keen preparations especially in the Spiritual are underway to ensure that this year’s Retreat/Camp Meeting scheduled for the Labour Day Weekend [September 3-5 2010] will be a great success for all who attend.
Hosted by young but courageous Ghana Ebenezer Methodist Society, Charlotte, North Carolina this Retreat must fulfill Bible prophesy to wit the later shall be greater than the former.
Maryland, New Jersey, Maryland and now North Carolina and each year greater exploits are wrought for the Lord for we of the Mission by God’s grace know our God.
As our Societies and others yet to be crisscross the Continent to converge in prayer this will undoubtedly be their song:
Come let us all unite and sing God is love!
