Welcome to the official Website of the Methodist Church Ghana North America
TO YOU DEAR VISITOR OR MEMBER WE SAY:
AKWAABA TO THE WEBSITE of GHANA METHODISM WHERE YOU ARE IN FOR A VIEW OF GHANA METHODISM.
Ours is a heritage birthed, by God’s grace, in a yearning for and love for God. Before Missionary Joseph Dunwell set foot in the then Gold Coast, William DeGraft and his friends had prayed, studied God’s Word and evangelized and indeed it was their cry for help that brought him and the others to the then ‘dark Continent’. Rev. Joseph Dunwell and the several ‘martyrs’ handed down a heritage we have all striven over the years to uphold with the help of the Holy Spirit.
It was and is one, which stressed and stresses on the Priesthood of all Believers [1 Peter 2:9]; and laid emphasis on 'spirituality, prevailing prayer, Scriptural holiness, uncompromising moral ethic, upholding the Bible as the authoritative word of God, community-based church planting strategies, faithfulness in tithes and offerings, genuine concern for the welfare of members in need and above all worship that is inspired by the Holy Spirit.'
This is why the Prayer of every Ghana Methodist is:
Help me to watch and pray, and on thyself rely,
Assured, if I my trust betray, I shall forever die.
AKWAABA once again and please “surf” prayerfully.

LENT IS HERE
Once again it is that SPECIAL time of year when true members of the John Wesley family embark on a 40 DAY Journey of humility and prayer.
It is time for FASTING and serious prayer.
Fortunately for us of the North America Mission an elaborate programme had been drawn to enable all who have set their faces as flints to meet to pray daily after their fast.
O come and mourn with me a while……
